Mummy Visit: It's a Wrap!

We finally got down to see the King Tut exhibit at the DMA. It was worth having to pay extra on top of our annual membership (oh and the $5 headset is a must).

The kids love riding the DART (although proceed with caution... the closer you get to D-town, the more interesting folks you meet).

Thanks to Big Daddy for packing snacks and ice water... there is NOTHING around the museum except an over-priced Subway and an Italian Restaurant that looks yummy, but is always either too crowded or closed.

These picture are from a temporary display where you walk through a glass tunnel to a room of orange fluorescent lights; you feel as though you've stepped into a sepia photograph. BTW: NO photos allowed of the Temporary Displays! (I was yelled at shortly after taking these photos)

At the end of the tour, you are dumped out right into a gift shop full of all manner of Mummy memorabilia. After a short tantrum because we weren't buying any toys, I, uh, I mean, Tiny Toes settled for a book...
and a ride on Big Daddy's shoulders back to the train.

Watching and waiting...

And they lived happily, ever after...

The End.
