It's always fun when Grandpa comes,
When Grandpa comes. Hooray!
He always says the kindest things,
And in the kindest way.
He has a wrinkly, twinkly smile;
He's happy all the day.
It's always fun for everyone
When Grandpa comes.

Grandpa came to visit us on Saturday. Little Man, Big Daddy and Grandpa ran some errands and played t-ball while Tiny Toes went to the doctor for an ear infection (yes, that's right, less than a month after the doc took those tubes out) and then we attended a wedding where Tiny Toes was a flower girl.
Our Friday was a little hectic and we didn't get our family COSTCO pizza night so we all decided to head for pizza that night for dinner. Little Man enjoyed Grandpa while Big Daddy took Tiny Toes for a (SCARY) fun grocery cart ride.
The night was completed with a quick t-ball practice with Little Man's new mitt (for lefties) and new bat.
We enjoyed a day trip to Clark Gardens in Weatherford. The flowers and the gardens are vast and spectacular. We even hid out in a gazebo during a brief spring squall; however, the rain only made the flowers more brilliant. The gardens also have a small little model train display which was especially fun for the kids. We also enjoyed seeing guinea fowl, bunnies, ducks, a swan and a gorgeous peacock. Once returning home, we headed to TGI's for din-din.
We enjoyed some really nice (and w a r m) weather this weekend, so we took the opportunity to pack a lunch and walk (and the kids to ride on their bikes -- which by the way they've grown out of since last year) to our favorite park with Grandpa. Big Daddy and Grandpa even found some time for a friendly game of checkers. There was time for another quick t-ball practice, some relaxing around the house and then it was time to say good-bye until next time.
