a cupcake day for tiny toes...

Tiny Toes decided she wanted to take cupcakes in to share with her class as a half-birthday treat. Little Man and I ended up spending almost the whole day at school that day! But we had a great time. In the morning, Little Man and I worked the spirit store during lunchtime. The Spirit Store is a table full of lovely little plastic toys from China that kids buy with their parents hard-earned money. The proceeds go to the PTA. It can be daunting sitting behind the table as children throw cash and toys at you. Some of the kids actually know how to count money and have their purchases added up (I like those) at check out (which is great because the cash register is my poor brain).

After we finished, Little Man and I headed into Tiny Toes' classroom to hand out cupcakes. Last year, she wanted the little drink umbrellas and since we still had almost the whole box leftover, she wanted them again (for her "Hawaiian cupcakes").

After the eating, the school actually had an assembly that ran until the end of school. The PTA brought in The Morris Brothers to teach about having fun in school and not bullying. The assembly was great and Little Man even got to sit with Tiny Toes and her cool first grade friends.

After school, Big Daddy and I took the kids to see Bolt at the $1 theatre and then to COSTCO for pizza. It was great fun, but I have to say the hamster stole the show!!

Happy Half-Birthday Tiny Toes we love you!!
