Where have you been?!!!

We wished we could say we've been to London to visit the Queen. However, we've been busy with (some of the more fun stuff of) life (not that anyone noticed) and who has time to blog?!!

It all started about 3 weeks or so ago, when Big Daddy drove me past this:

It is a major move of neighborhoods, but I got that feeling that it was time to move out of my comfort zone. So a little over a week ago, we put an offer on it and we are waiting... and waiting... this whole process is completely laborious and somewhat disconcerting (we've decided being adults is a little overrated).

The Friday before last was Open House at school. We are so proud of the kids and their work. We have fabulous teachers and are very thankful for all the time they put in to making our school so great.

This last week was Spring Break. We longed for the beach, but had some business with the house we couldn't leave. In addition, I began experiencing what I thought was a stomach bug Saturday morning... FLU! By Monday, it had turned into tonsillitis or somesuch. Big Daddy really stepped up (lots of grown-up "have to's"). Thursday was the first day I made it out of bed, into the shower and into make-up and real clothes and sat in the car while the kids went to Kung Fu. It was good prep for Friday morning when Tiny Toes needed to be at the children's surgery center by 6 AM to have her ear tubes replaced. They decided she was the happiest little girl they've ever seen in post op (I'm sure the "silly juice" was helpful there).

The whole week was beautiful and sunny and since she wasn't supposed to play outside on Friday, we took the kids to see the Chipmunk movie at the dollar (hmmmm... $1 huh? -- $4 for for tickets and $14 for popcorn and drinks)

Even though I was ill and we had some minor out-patient surgery, the break was very relaxing. It was even punctuated today with another big snowstorm -- here's our (last?) snowman of the season. (Little Man declined an invite to build... his new Star Wars action figures were more fun and besides -- going outside means only one thing later... a bath!)

Happy Spring!!
