Saturday festivities and blow outs

The games were a bust on Saturday. Both kids' teams were up against veteran well-oiled machines; however, we still enjoy it and have a great time watching and playing nonetheless. Tiny Toes has made lots of progress and we are happy to see her enjoying herself all the while improving her game. After Tiny Toes's game, we headed to an Archaeological Fair.

We wished we would have had more time to spend there, but had to move on to Little Man's game. We were very proud of him, too. In the first quarter, Little Man took a fall that hurt his forehead and pride. It took him some time and a hug from Mom and Dad, but he finally went back into the game and gave it his all. Way to go Little Man!! Right after that, we headed off to the school carnival (yes, these busy Saturdays happen from time to time and although they are exhausting, it is fun to go from place to place).

Big Daddy didn't disappoint and won a cake for us in the cake walk for the 3rd time in as many years. The kids enjoyed the games and snacks and Mom enjoyed following everyone around snapping pictures and sharing snacks. We completed the day out for a family dinner and then home to watch Monsters vs. Aliens before bed.
