The Fourth

We had a fun and busy fourth! It started with the ward breakfast of fruit, doughnuts and juice in the park. Next, we snuck out to race across town for the city's parade.

It was quite "warm" after the parade, so we cooled our heels in Mickey D's for lunch.

In the afternoon, the kids were full of vim and vigor, so we went out to play with big mamma.
During the swim, a local reporter found us to ask about city budget cuts. Naturally, the kids were very shy and sheepish once the camera went on.

In the late evening, we decided to venture out for fireworks (we've never kept the kids up for that).

It was a great show!! As we watched, Tiny Toes sat awe-struck whilst Little Man was sure the fireworks were going to "land" on him and. "How 'bout we just go home?" He'd offer. (I understand; I remember feeling the same way at Derk's Field many, many years ago.) It was a great day. We really hope you enjoyed the day and felt just as thankful for our beautiful America!!
