Since most of her classmates had birthday bashes throughout the year, we threw an early party for Tiny Toes. She chose the park. I chose the games, cupcakes and a book exchange. Big Daddy chose the pinata. My Texas sisters, J and D fixed all the holes in my planning on the spot (whew, thanks!). And, Mother Nature chose gusty winds which made soft chocolate icing interesting and all over everything! (NOTE TO SELF: cupcakes don't fit perfectly into ice cream cones like in the magazines unless you cut them down beforehand). We had been to some fun parties in the year and I really wanted to have something fun at minimal cost because those have always been the most fun for me. I think the kids enjoyed it; Tiny Toes did and that's all that matters. And heck, it never hurts to have 6+ pounds of chocolate candy in the pinata -- thanks, Big Daddy!
Tiny Toes got all ready to hit the pinata first. Big Daddy got her all ready and the first whack she took was right at Dad!! Watch out Dad!!

When we got home, there sat a pretty little, albeit very generous, package from Grandpa & Co. which contained -- among other exciting things -- a pretty little princess clock radio for Tiny Toes. Thanks, it fit perfectly in the day with the party!!
